Wife buys a $50 bottle of tequila.
Wife hears a noise at midnights and goes down to see what the puppy is up to.
Wife finds the said bottle of tequila on the floor, removed from our booze shelf, top chewed off, contents all over the living room. Plus, some other assorted damage .
This is after we just spent $700 on her spaying.
Free dog anyone? Small one on the far right

She looks like she’s still a bit drunk in that photo...or up to no good.

Dog ownership is a nightmare. I don’t know how/why anyone does it.

It’s just the first few months of puppyhood. Once they are over it, they are fine. They make me go out and walk all the time instead of being stuck in the house. And no one loves you like a dog :)

We had her in a kennel by she needs to pee and drink water all the damn time. This is the first time she did anything at night. Probably because she can’t walk or play much for a week while her stitches heal and she is full of energy.

I’ve spend a large chunk of my adult life either running away from dogs who didn’t know where their property line ended and where the public street began, or being harassed by roommate dogs who wouldn’t shut the fuck up after hearing a car pass. Or people talking. Or a plane. Or two molecules of water vapor colliding somewhere in China. Or two aliens whispering to each other on a planet somewhere in Andromeda. Or nothing. On that note hey, did you know a barking dog will never go the fuck to sleep? Even after 24 hours of barking???
tl;dr -> Dogs are just...they won’t be anywhere near my house after I brought it. I’ll just leave it there.

Puppies are a nightmare at times. I’ve owned many and worked with even more. Just gotta get through those tough few months and then it’s mostly smooth sailing.
Personal preference is I stay away from working dogs for my pets. They seem to be more work. I say that but all mine are terrier mixes so what do I know?

That’s considered cruelty to animals in many jurisdictions. Leaving a dog tethered unattended can get you jail time in many places around me.

My sibling got a doggy door that only unlocks when an rfid chip on the collar is within 5 feet.

She’s not really for free. She’s just the devil reincarnated.

How would that help when she is inside already :)

Hah, if you told me you had a golden or something it’d be fine. But having terriers... they are probably just as bad as shepherds.

Well, in my defense I’m pretty good at picking out puppies. Between my 3 I can count on one hand (maybe 2) how many things they tore up that they weren’t supposed to.

I would only take it if you’ve been massaging it with plum wine.
